Two Missions School students mentored by Pastora Manuelita

I share this NDE account as it was related to us by Victor himself
and corroborated by those present when it happened.

“Pastora Manuelita, come quickly! Victor is dying!” Guillermo exclaimed with his face flushed.

At our missions school, Victor had asked permission to rest after lunch rather than joining the other students for class, as he was not feeling well. When Guillermo came to the sleeping quarters afterwards at the lunch hour, he found Victor fevered and convulsing in his bed, looking nearly dead.

Pastora Manuelita did not rush Victor into town and to the hospital, which would have required carrying him out by foot down the 3.7 kilometer, thickly muddy dirt road to the highway (it had rained that day) and then waiting for a taxi to drive him forty-five more kilometers into Iquitos. That would have taken time and money that they did not have. Instead, she gathered the troops and they began an intensive prayer service for Victor.

Victor came very close to death. He experienced his spirit leaving his body and going in search of his mother in the northern jungle area of Lagunas to say goodbye. In response to prayers, his spirit then returned to Iquitos, which he saw from above. Knowing that Iquitos is a city of 600,000 people, he was confused because he only saw a few lights in the darkness.

As he drew closer, he realized that he was seeing a black shadow over the city, and the few scattered lights were coming from a handful of churches. His spirit came into the city and passed by many churches that had no light shining from them. He was then delighted to find that his own church (ours) was shining brightly. After that, his spirit moved back toward the missions school out of town, where the students were fervently calling out to God on his behalf. As he approached, he saw them pacing and praying loudly in tongues. After two and a half hours of being absent from the flesh, he returned to his body with a jolt, panting with exhaustion from his journey.

Victor’s body had been stiff. The students, led by their pastor, had waged warfare in the heavenlies for those two and a half hours, watching Victor move from that state back to his normal self. Today his health is strong, and he is serving the Lord with more vigor than ever. The night of this occurrence, Pastora Manuelita and the students had a thanksgiving service, and the Holy Spirit was poured out so greatly that they felt the raw power of God moving through their bodies as intense fire.

Give Him glory with us for saving Victor’s life, a life that will surely be used by Him to further His kingdom in the Amazon region. We praise Him too because having experienced this trauma and the resolution of it by God’s power has caused our missions school students to be swept over with new joy and zeal!
