“Get out of here!”, Kelania shrieked. “I NEVER want to see you again!!”

Her husband, Tomas, abandoned the room with a violent slam of the door. Kelania crumpled onto the ground, weeping. She had just been diagnosed with a fatal STD. Tomas had been unfaithful. And his infidelity was going to take her life.

Rage consumed her. In the days that followed, suicidal thoughts tormented her. She was going to die anyway, she reasoned. Why not choose the moment?

Her neighbor, Teresa, noticed the change in her. It just so happens that Teresa got saved not so long ago through the outreach of our church. She is the spiritual great-granddaughter, so to speak, of one of the main discipleship leaders at our church, Olga. Olga won Tania for the Lord and discipled her. Tania won and discipled Astrid. Astrid won and is discipling Teresa.

And now it was Teresa’s turn. She sensed the nudge of the Holy Spirit. With quiet urgency, she walked over to Kelania’s home. “Amiga!”, she called out at the open door. “Are you home?”

All she heard was a muffled moan. So she went in. Kelania was sitting in the corner, hunched over. A cloud of angry depression hung over her. Teresa lovingly touched her shoulder. With gentle persistence, she engaged her in conversation. By the time the exchange was over, she had convinced her to come to church.

Experiencing just one service was enough for Kelania. She was hooked. On her second visit, she heard a word of knowledge given at the altar call. “Someone here has a sickness in her womb. If that is you, please come forward for prayer. Jesus wants to heal you.” She found her feet taking her eagerly up to the front. Holy Spirit power began to flow into her body as we prayed.

That is how it all began. Space here does not allow for all of the wonderful details that then unfolded. Suffice it to say that in the months following, Kelania went to a Women’s Encounter. She learned about the power of forgiveness. She decided to forgive Tomas. He also got saved and has been coming regularly – and not just to church, but to every weekly corporate fast that we hold.

Both of them have been healed from the STD. God has brought sovereign restoration to their marriage. Now they can be frequently seen walking hand-in-hand. Life is not perfect of course. Much further emotional healing is needed in both of them. But they have found a brand new beginning, in every way.

I want you to notice something here, dear friend. Our team of givers empowered us to disciple Olga. The seed that they sowed did not stop there. On the contrary, it is bearing more and more fruit. Kelania is the fifth spiritual generation birthed from their gifts. Tomas is the sixth. And now, the children of God that will come to Him through Kelania and Tomas’s influence will also be added to their account!

If you have been sowing faithfully into God’s Kingdom wherever you are, this word is for you. So hear this in your spirit:

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Heb. 6:10, NIV).

Your reward in heaven is IMMENSE! Thank you!

      1. This same verse, Hebrews 6:10, is the verse that came up today in the prayer and evangelism app that I’m using! 💖

(I remember another time when you and I both commented that sometimes the Lord speaks the same message to us more than once.)😄

      2. I was just flipping through large sections of my Bible in search of a verse in Corinthians. It fell open to these verses in Malachi 3:16,17: ”Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.”

There’s that 3rd time affirmation the Lord sometimes gives me when He has something important to tell me! It doesn’t matter whether other people see or appreciate what we do for God, nor whether we forget what we’ve done for God ourselves. God sees, and God remembers, and God rewards!

  1. And THEN…God! To bear witness to His stunning grace is really AMAZING. Great is His faithfulness. It is only limited through us by our obedience. Help us God to move swiftly to Your instruction. Walking alongside our faith family…is there anything better? Nope!
