Diabetes Bows the Knee to King Jesus

“Señor, your life is in danger. You may soon fall into a coma and die. Your blood sugar level is 600!”

The doctor looked at Pastor Gonzalo gravely. Immediately after that, he began emergency treatment.

In great pain, Pastor Gonzalo lay on the hospital bed. Full of emotion, he reflected on his life. He had been living with diabetes for eighteen years now. Traveling along the rivers of the jungle with it. Preaching his heart out with it.

He remembered. In the middle of the suffering, hope had come. A visiting minister had called him out during a special service. “You are going to be a pillar in the house of God!” he had proclaimed. This word from the Lord had gone deep into Pastor Gonzalo’s heart. It had sustained him during many trials.

However, his physical condition had gotten worse and worse. Wounds on his body refused to heal. Illness seemed to be taking over completely. This just made no sense! Here he was, fighting for his life. But wasn’t he supposed to be a pillar in God’s house?

Something started to rise up inside of his spirit. A prayer shot up from the very depths of him. “Father! You called me to preach Your Word! You have to heal me!!” The words poured out of him with passionate intensity.

In that moment, something supernatural began to happen. Something amazing.

Soon thereafter, the doctor was stupefied. And Pastor Gonzalo was beaming with uncontainable joy. Diabetes had vanished from his body.

He was completely healed!
