The Impenetrable Blood Shield

“So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived” (Num. 21:9, NKJV).

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:14-15, NKJV).

This morning I believe the Lord would have me share with you another excerpt from my journal. It follows in my usual style, which is in prayer format to God. This was revelation that He was downloading to me about the staggering power of Jesus’ blood covering over our lives:

“You told me that Your blood is not just a by-instance solution to fixing the problem of sins committed, but an actual shield around us, constantly covering us so that sin and the effects of sin may not penetrate our spirit. Your blood is constantly present with me, a permanent solution to my imperfection, instantly cleansing me as soon as I lift my eyes to You, my crucified and risen Lord.

“I may only approach You through Your blood. So as soon as I draw near to You, Your blood immediately works for me. Which is shown here: ‘Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus… let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience…’ (Heb. 10:19-22, NKJV).
