“The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail” (Isa. 58:11, NIV).
The battle is intense. Sweat is flying in all directions. Your muscles ache. Your throat screams in thirst.
Spiritual battles are real. The spiritual realm is just as real as the physical realm. In a way, it’s even more real in the sense that it’s eternal. This world that we can take in with our five physical senses is passing away. The world that we can perceive with our spiritual senses will never end. That world, the heavenly realm, is all around us, and it dictates to the physical realm.
So yes, conflict going around you in the spiritual realm is real. And when you go through a spiritual battle, it can get exceedingly intense. During such times, Holy Spirit wants to remind you and me of this truth: the strength available to us in Him is unlimited. Granted, there are plenty of moments when you and I feel extremely weary in the fray. However, every single time, God is going to renew our strength.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak,” (Isa. 40:29, NIV).
