When You Pray All Night Long, the Possibilities Are Endless!

Hilda was dying. Diabetes had broken her small frame. She had no money for medication. Tragically, this treatable disease had destroyed her body. But God! Hilda wasn’t one to go out without a fight. 

Now skin and bones, she dragged herself out to our retreat center for an all-night prayer meeting. Not even the hour-long hike to the location deterred her. She trudged forward with much help from others. Somehow, she kept making one foot move in front of the other. 

Then something caught her eye. She looked up and saw a splendid rainbow crossing the entire late afternoon sky. Something was remarkably different about this rainbow. It was pure white. Suddenly, new strength entered into her being. Her pace quickened. Full of anticipation, she soon reached the meeting place. 

Praise and prayer commenced immediately. A little later, Hilda moved to the front of the gathering. She excitedly told everyone about the brilliant white rainbow she had witnessed on the way in. “I have never seen anything like it in all my years!” she exclaimed. “God is pleased with us. He’s going to do wonders tonight.” 

All night long, the brothers and sisters pressed in. The presence of God grew stronger and stronger in that place. Hilda received prayer ministry. Her body reacted visibly to the power of the Holy Spirit moving through her. She felt something mighty happening throughout her whole being. 

When morning dawned over the prayer warriors, she exclaimed, “That sickness is gone! It left my body completely!” 

That was quite a few months ago. Today, Hilda is alive and well. She has regained the glow in her face and put on a healthy amount of weight. Ironically, she is now running a business, selling sweets! 

Of course, she has other battles to face, but the one for her life is over. That night at the retreat center, the spirit of death lost. Hilda loves to tell everyone that will listen about her Healer… and the brilliant, white rainbow that He gave as a sign of the new life that is now hers! 

For this precious sister, diabetes was a hostile giant staring her in the face. It nearly took her life… but it didn’t! The same God who loves her loves you. He answered her prayers, and He will answer yours. What do you need from Him today? — Jennifer Arimborgo

  3. Re-reminds me of an old song that had come to mind last week: How Long Has It Been. One of the lines is, “How long since you prayed, how long since you stayed on your knees till the light shone through?”

    1. Oh wow, the timing of that! God always amazes me how He orchestrates themes so beautifully and magnificently well. (I am finally getting a chance to catch up with everything on here. It’s been a whole new level of NONSTOP for me since I started school in August, keep praying for me!)
