Amazonian Wednesdays 🌴

Today’s story of transformation is from March 2020:
**************************
“My wife decided to leave us.” Gonzalo’s* voice was strained with emotion. “I came here for help.”
We had never met Gonzalo before. He and his wife Isabel had four children. They had fallen on tough times. Isabel had decided she couldn’t take it any more. She was gone.
“But you know what?” Gonzalo continued. “My mother-in-law was healed from terminal cancer in this church. She’d been given just three months to live. You all prayed for her here and God touched her. Today, she is alive and completely well! Seeing Him do that miracle in her, I have found hope. I believe He is going to turn this around for us too.”
He had brought his wedding picture with him, which he handed to Pastor Carmen. Our prayer battle began… and continued daily for months.
During that time, Gonzalo began to faithfully attend church. There was something marked about his faith. He was determined that he was going to have an answer from heaven. He came to our corporate fasts, which happen every Saturday. Belief born of his mother-in-law’s testimony was strengthening him to persevere.
Four months later, Isabel came home! Just as Gonzalo had asked and declared, God had a miracle for him too. His wife had a complete change of heart. Now the Father is beautifully healing their marriage.
We are seeing many broken marriages restored, as God intervenes mightily in these precious couples’ lives. As He heals homes, He is healing our society. Redemption is coming to the Amazon Jungle of Peru!

Thanks for sharing that beautiful story, Jennifer! Yes, for an estranged spouse to return is as much of a miracle as healing from cancer. God can do it all!

Is there anything too hard for our God? Is there one thing He can’t do? No, not one! Hallelujah!
