“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit…” (John 15:7-8, NKJV)
Have you ever had someone’s words on repeat in your head? Maybe even advice your mother gave you years ago that still plays into the way you process life?
I had an experience as a teenager that I still remember vividly. I was on a summer missions trip to Botswana for two months with Teen Mania. Halfway through the trip, I became ill with a lung infection. When the team leader, Rich, was sure I would be okay, he put me in the attentive care of some wonderful local missionaries. This way, I could rest and recover while he took the rest of our young people on a short excursion deeper into the bush. The words he spoke to me in that moment still reverberate in my memory. His facial expression torn, his eyes full of genuine love for me, he softly exclaimed, “It is so hard for me to leave you here.”
I heard those words twenty-five years ago. I can still hear them clearly today. They are words that live inside of me because of how powerfully they impacted my inner being. They communicated my belovedness profoundly to my heart. Rich was a spiritual father. He cared very deeply about me, and his words to me were charged with tangible love.
Jesus has words charged with love to speak to your heart today. “I will… speak tenderly to her” (Hos. 2:14, NET). Take some time to pause, linger, and listen. What is He saying to you? He wants to speak so deeply into your spirit that His message will remain in you, even twenty years from now. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…” (Col. 3:16, NET). As His love-charged words dwell richly in you, they will bring forth much fruit through your life!
Lord Jesus, may Your beautiful words shape me! Let them be on repeat within my spirit today! Let them dwell in me richly, defining who I am and flowing into everything I do!

What a precious memory to draw upon. The love of your heavenly Father for you as a child through that man is so very beautiful.
I have had these verses reverberating in me:
Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
And it’s been a gift.

Beautiful testimony . It reminds me to move forward with thanksgiving as I too remember His Love and life changing encounters in life that showed me absolutely He is Lord.
