“I was the architect at his side. I was his constant delight, rejoicing always in his presence. And how happy I was with the world he created; how I rejoiced with the human family!” (Prov. 8:30-31, NLT).
This picture above is my kitty, Hadwin. We have had him for almost three months now, and he has wonderfully enhanced our household. He is by far the most easygoing kitten I have ever encountered. He allows my snuggle bug daughter Anna to hold him like a baby, utterly relaxed in her arms. Every day. For hours. She moves him into the position she wants him in, and he stays there, purring contentedly.
Recently, I walked into my room. Hadwin was sitting on the floor, looking up at me as I came in. I was suddenly so struck by the beauty that God put into him. The bright color of his eyes jumped out in contrast to the velvety black of his little face and body. I paused to take in the delight that visual pleasure brought to me.
Holy Spirit then interjected Himself into my moment (as I always want Him to do). He shared with me that He was feeling the same thing I was feeling. He was right there with me, united with me in that moment of pleasure, enjoying the artwork of Hadwin’s face right along with me. This message of His impacted my spirit. The Creator of the entire universe has time and space in His heart to focus on the compelling design of a simple kitten’s face?
You betcha! He takes delight in all of His works. Now think about this. Our God’s nature is infinite. As such, He has unlimited space in Himself to center His attention on every colossal and minute feature of everything He has made. He has unlimited capacity for enjoying them all.
And you… you are His masterpiece! As the culmination of all that He made, you, a human being, one who bears His image… you catch His gaze in a way that goes beyond His delight in His lesser creations. In fact, you catch His gaze in a way no one else on the planet does. There is only one you. With His infinite nature, He certainly has all the time in the world to center His attention and His delight on you! If He gazes with pleasure at a kitten’s face, how much more do you thrill His heart?

The Word says that you were created “for Him” (Heb. 2:10). What does that phrase mean to you?
He reminds me of my cat Austin. Very similar. He passed away a few years ago. I will never forget my cat. They are so precious. Sometimes he would appear in my dreams. Like he was visiting me. This picture is a delight. I love animals.❤ Thank you for sharing your life with us! 😊

What a treasure! Do you have a sense whether she’ll be in heaven when you get there? Curious on your thoughts. (Slow reply because things have been nonstop here!)

To be honest Jennifer, I have never really thought about the whereabouts of our cat, Princess, in Heaven. It has been many years since her passing, but I appreciate your question.
