Created for His Glory

“I want them back, every last one who bears my name, every man, woman, and child whom I created for my glory, yes, personally formed and made each one” (Isa. 43:7, MSG).

Do you see that there? Take a moment and receive this into the depths of your spirit: God made you for His glory. Your very existence gives Him glory; shouts of His majesty. You bear His own awe-inpiring image. As you walk around breathing air today, you emanate His glory. How He delights in you, the one He personally formed and made!

You were created for His love glory. Remember how God answered Moses when he asked to see His glory? “I will make all My goodness pass before you” (Ex. 33:19, NKJV). God equates His glory with His goodness. His love, His goodness, is the very essence of His radiance. So, when He says you were created for His glory, it means that you were created for His goodness. Your creation was and is an overflowing expression of His goodness. You were created to walk in it, experiencing this glorious goodness in ever-increasing measure.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image  with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3:18, NIV)

On really bad days when it seems like everything is going wrong and we are pushing through emotional sludge, do we still reflect the glory of God?

  1. Thank you for sharing this Jennifer. It’s really beautiful when you stop to think about it and even though we can barely comprehend the totality of the radiance and goodness of God, sometimes He lets us taste of the Holiness that He is and that taste defies all descriptions. I know this, having once tasted, I know I NEVER wanted to leave His presence. Not for ANYTHING. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor entered into the heart of men, the things that God has prepared for those who love Him. Amazing what God’s Holy Spirit can open up to us, isn’t it! God’s grace, peace and blessings to you and yours. – Bruce

      1. Hi Jennifer, yes you’re right, words cannot express, not even close. I found as I was reading your post, that I was saying to myself, “God is revealing some of His glory to this woman”, I could see it in how you wrote. These are gifts that none of us deserve, God just does it and the gift He gives does change us. Here is the link where I have spoken of the taste of God’s presence that He gave me many years ago. https://bcooper.wordpress.com/2018/10/20/the-presence-of-god-revisited/ As I stated in this post, there were three things that I was instantly and simultaneously aware of: God’s Holiness, that I was not Holy and God’s love. I’ve never forgotten it and time and time again God has deepened this taste and understanding He gave me, in my dealings with Him, over the years. God knows us better than we know ourselves so He interacts with each of us differently, uniquely, in a way that touches our particular hearts, as no other can. So when God reveals a little of Himself to you, it may be different than how He dealt with me, but it will be uniquely for you and you will know it. And it is indeed, beautiful beyond all words. God’s grace, peace and blessings to you and yours Jennifer. Love in Christ – Bruce

      2. I am smiling joyfully with profound peace and contentment, reading your words, Bruce. I am truly priviledged to do so. I also recognize in what you write, your closeness with Him, and it blesses my spirit in a special way. Thank you for this honor. You are so right that the way He speaks and reveals Himself to each one of us is different and tailored to the unique way He designed us!

  2. YESSSSS!!! I have a fairly new friend who helped me to see this very thing…ever SO clearly! I was tredging through a hard time fairly recently feeling SO weighed down with darkness, and almost despair at times. She continually built me up telling me how much of an inspiration I am to so many; and etc., etc. I had such a hard time seeing, but finally Holy Spirit helped me see that this is the same way (but immensely magnified) Daddy God loves me! When I feel like there’s no way, He always shows up in some way, shape or for to let me know there IS a way, and that He is it! His love is longsuffering and unfailing, and WE are exceedingly BLESSED!!

I’m so very thankful for the women of God that He’s been gracious enough to place in my life to help walk me through this world and into the next.

    1. My precious sister, I, too, am profoundly grateful for you. I don’t think you know how much your continuing encouragement has meant to me. More than you will probably know in this life. But I know you will know in the next, when you are eternally rewarded for it! I love you!
