Lily’s Dream

“You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you” (Ps. 8:2, NLT).

A couple nights ago, my eight-year-old Lily came into my room. She wanted to share with me a dream that she’d had. In this dream, she found herself enclosed in a rectangular space made of a material that reminded her of jello. There were visible little green viruses all around it in vast quantities. They were trying to get on her, but they could not affect her all. This was because she was completely covered with a layer of a protective substance that she understood to be the Holy Spirit’s presence. She said that the viruses could not penetrate that layer at all. She also understood in her spirit that this picture was not just for her, but for the whole family.

Wow! I was so encouraged by this! Then, as I was writing her dream down, I just knew God wanted me to share it with you. I believe that Lily was right in understanding that this promise was not just for her… it is for the whole family of God! And that includes you and your loved ones, my friend.

I believe He wants to remind you and me once again of His precious promises:

“God will save you from hidden traps
and from deadly diseases.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you can hide.
His truth will be your shield and protection.
You will not fear any danger by night
or an arrow during the day.
You will not be afraid of diseases that come in the dark
or sickness that strikes at noon.
At your side one thousand people may die,
or even ten thousand right beside you,
but you will not be hurt.”

Do you believe that these promises are for you, personally? They are! So let’s remember to put on the full armor of light every morning (Read more about that here). It is impenetrable, like the layer Lily saw in her dream that covered her completely. With the shield of faith we can extinguish every fiery arrow sent our way. Dear one, God says to you today, do not be afraid!

“From the mouths of little children and infants, you have built a fortress against your opponents to silence the enemy and the avenger” (Ps. 8:2, GW).
