The Water of Life — It’s For You!

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Rev. 22:1, NKJV).

Here John the Beloved describes for us what is happening in heaven in this moment. This is not a picture limited to the future when we finally leave behind this fallen world. This picture is right now.

Right now, that pure river of life is flowing out from God’s throne. This water pours forth from the epicenter of Paradise. Wherever it goes, it heals what it touches. Wherever it goes, it causes everything to live (Eze. 47:9).

And Holy Spirit issues this invitation to you and me:

“And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price” (Rev. 21:17, ESV).

This water is not an elusive mystery, just out of reach. It’s for you. If you ask the Father, He will pour this living water into your life even now. You may drink it this very moment and come more fully alive.

Are you thirsty? Come!

Have you tasted of the water of life? If so, how would you describe it?

  1. This morning I received a word that healed my soul and God spoke twice. The same word came twice to reassure, to strengthen and to heal. I feel alive. If God is for us, who or what can stand against us??

  2. The Woman at the Well in John Chapter 4 first responded to Jesus’ asking about the water of life by hoping it would keep her from having to go back day by day to draw more. As cool and refreshing as that water might have been on a warm day, the water flowing from God to us is infinitely more fulfilling. I have tasted it and it is so very sweet!
But being honest, I have also trudged back to the well to draw some of the old stuff. Thank you, Jenn, for this great reminder that the very best is available always, anywhere and everywhere from God’s limitless supply.
    Blessings,
    Chuck

  3. Thank you. That living water is so sweet – I too immediately thought of the Samaritan woman at the well and felt my heart cry – “Give me of this living water, that I might never thirst again”. But I do want to drink again and again of the sweet living water of the abundance of His spirit…

  4. God is goodness. Thank you for the reminder. The water of life is there for everyone to drink. Every day I try to get better at it.

I pray we would all have the courage to embrace the strength God lays down for us. Peace, to you all.
