Whether or not we realize it or not, Jesus is what our souls are longing for. He is the Desire of All Nations. Just like the Wise Men, let’s go after Him with everything we’ve got. My prayer for you is that you would encounter Him in a brand new way this beautiful Advent season as you listen here:

How is it that we so often mistake our longing for Jesus, for a craving for something else that falls so short of satisfying our souls?

Thank you, Jennifer, In my opinion, and experience that “Longing” is the root of addiction. I found this to be true as I searched for fulfillment in the use of substances. I didn’t begin to recover until I found the source, Abba which is also the answer through Yeshua!
