A Grateful Update

A few days ago, Lily became talkative again, and each day has become more and more herself. She hasn’t been transferred out of the ICU yet, but this is only because there hasn’t been an open bed available in a regular room of the hospital. There are only two children’s hospitals in all of Peru, I’ve learned, and the rooms are in constant high demand. That Lily got in so immediately in the first place here is an amazing act of God’s favor. My heart overflows with gratitude to Him for healing her. To see her smiling again is one of the most beautiful things that’s ever happened to me.

With all my heart I thank you for praying for her and us. ❤️ The biggest prayer requests right now are for continued smooth recovery and a bed to open up quickly in a regular room, as in ICU I’m only allowed to see her an hour a day.

Much love to you all!

    1. That puts a joyful, grateful smile on my face, Mike. She seems to be fully back to her usual self! So I’m trusting, no long-term effects. The doctors are also encouraged about how well she’s doing. Thank You Jesus!!!

  2. Praise God for this wonderful news! 🙏🏼😊❤️. Continuing in prayer for her complete recovery and may you get the regular room so you are not restricted in the time you get to spend with her.

  3. I’m so glad to hear this great news! Praise God!! I’ll continue to pray she is fully healed and gets a room soon so you can spend more time with her. It has to be so hard only being allowed a short time with her. Prayers for you too!
