The other day, I wanted to track a package for an order I had made online. However, when I clicked on the appropriate link in the confirmation email, it took me to a page that required me to sign onto my account for this purpose. The problem was that I had only ever used that website once. I did not remember my sign-on information. My phone settings did not seem remember the information either.
After searching unsuccessfully in different places where I might have stored the sign-in info, I finally remembered. I had just signed on initially using my Facebook account. So I clicked on that option. My phone kindly offered to fill in my Facebook password, which offer I gladly accepted. The new problem was that I recently changed my Facebook password and forgot to inform my phone of the change. Facebook promptly locked me out of my account in that browser.
Argh! Well, I’ll spare you the rest of the details, but I finally was able to log in and track my package.
What is the point?
