“…To those who are called, wrapped in the love of God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ. May mercy, peace, and love be lavished on you!” (Jude 1-2, NET).
That’s just so GOOD! These words are an overflowing expression of His heart for you. “Wrapped in the love of God the Father.” Can you picture yourself there? I want to encourage you to spend an extra moment doing so. Why picturing? The Lord intends for us to use our spiritual senses to interact with Scripture. Your spirit has all five senses just like your body does, and their use will wonderfully enhance your understanding of God’s Word. It will literally aid you in your ability to feast on it:
“But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained…” (Heb. 5:14, NASB).
