“I lost my husband to another woman… but God!”

Rosita triumphantly shared her story with us. “After suffering such heartbreak, I found this church,” she recalls. “Thanks to all those all-night prayer vigils we have here in my new church home, I learned to war for my family,” she explained. “I learned that I could get back what was stolen from me.”

It all started when Ricardo began to travel extensively for work. All that time away took a toll. The day came when Rosita learned that he had been developing a relationship with someone else he had met on the job. He decided he was done with the marriage.

Rosita was crushed. However, she was not willing to accept this as the end of the story. Tears fell as she cried out to God for His intervention. Not long after that, word came that Ricardo had fallen gravely ill with covid. Rosita sensed in her spirit that now was the time to act.

She traveled to the remote jungle village where he was fighting for his life. “I urgently need to see my husband,” she said to the local official. “I can’t help you,” he replied rudely. “Don’t you know he is with another woman now?”

Rosita would not be deterred. She found that the official’s wife, Dindra, was a believer. Dindra, moved with compassion, invited Rosita into her home. Soon, the two of them were worshipping and reading Scripture together. They ended up staying up all that night, warring for the victory.

By morning, the official had a change of heart. He led Rosita to her bedridden husband. She immediately began to tend to his needs. That night, she stayed up again throughout the night, singing worship songs over him and interceding. The presence of God manifested so strongly that he was completely healed.

Undone by her unconditional love, Ricardo was deeply convicted of his sins. Ashamed, he asked if she could forgive him. She accepted his repentance and asked him to come back home.

Several years have passed since then. As Jesus restores their marriage, they are serving Him together in our church. “Yes, it’s those all-night prayer vigils that did it!” Rosita exclaims again with a triumphant smile. She is the first one to remind us, absolutely nothing is impossible for those of us who believe!
