If there were ever a time in our lives when this Scripture was relevant, it would be now. Mountains shaking and disappearing – the complete rearrangement of our emotional landscape – is precisely what we have been experiencing.
I spent the longest piece of my life in the U.S. (before moving to Peru as a missionary) in Tucson, Arizona. This beautiful city is surrounded by majestic mountains. Some of my most treasured memories from my years there are of jogging at sunset, drinking in the beauty of the desert. The mountains stood tall and mighty against the softening loveliness of the twilight. Visually prominent bastions of immovable strength, they silently shouted out their message of breathtaking stability.
If there were ever a symbol of unvarying, unbending might, mountains would be it. So what is a soul to do, when that which seemed utterly unchangeable and immovable, changes and is removed? When everything that once seemed like a permanent, completely dependable fixture, is falling to pieces… how do we respond? This is when we lean into this Word from His heart: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed.” That, my precious friend, is what Daddy is teaching you and me right now.
In another Scripture, He speaks to us of the “uncertainty of riches” (1 Tim. 6:17, ESV). For many alive today, this phrase may have seemed very theoretical not long ago. Material prosperity probably felt pretty certain, pretty solid. It is during these intense times of shaking that so many of us are learning just how accurate that phrase from 1 Timothy is. What we perceived as unshakable mountains are, in fact, shaking.
Daddy did not initiate, nor author, any of the severely disturbing events that have been sending shockwaves around the earth these months. However, He wastes nothing. Through it all, He is imparting to us the certainty, the solidness, the immovability, of His covenant commitment to us. He is teaching our hearts where they can truly rest secure.
Is your soul needing to find center today? In the midst of radical change, is it looking for something that will remain steadfastly the same? Is it needing to find a place to hide that will never crumble? Somewhere truly unshakable? Try this on for size:
And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope!” (Heb. 6:17-18, TPT, emphasis mine).
The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind. His covenant commitment to take perfect care for you will never be removed. The Rock of Ages will never be shaken. Rest your heart in Him today.

God never lies. All we need is His word, His simple “Yes.” So why would He add a vow onto His already completely believable promise?
Hallelujah! All Your promises are Yay and Amen!

Thank you Jesus for a LOVE that has redeemed every tribe and tongue in this vast world. Your LOVE transcends and is HIGHER THAN all of this world’s ‘stuff’. Cruelty perpetuated by carnal unredeemed humankind of any colour, race or tribe is CRUELTY. EVIL is EVIL and the source is SATAN. When EVIL is attacked by EVIL what we then have is unredeemed ungodly behaviour which gives the Evil one his (already crucified at the Cross) so calledl right to run rampant once more. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE has redeemed all humankind. This is where the
‘free-will’ comes in. Accept His sacrificial death or gradually and systematically destroy each other. Come unto ME………there is NO OTHER LASTING PEACE. Blessings and Love. xx
