“So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great” (Job 2:13, NKJV).
The grief in America is very great right now. As I was sitting here praying about what to share with you, this verse came to my spirit. There were a whole lot of things Job’s friends did wrong in response to his crisis. But this one thing they did especially right. They sat in silence with him in his grief.
I am deeply hurting with every one of you. I sense Holy Spirit’s leading for this blog is to follow the lead in this verse. I won’t be saying much this week. I am sitting in silence with you all, mourning with you for the pain of our great nation. Each day, I will just post Scripture that I hope will bring some comfort and strength to those needing it.
I love you all.
Beautifully put.

Estoy orando fuertemente por ustedes. Nuestra nación tiene tanto chaos en medio de todos los problemas con este virus. Vamos a estar valientes juntas. God will make a way where there is no way. There will be double for our trouble. We will hold up each other’s arms as the battle rages. It will turn and we will be better for all the overcoming we are doing. I haven’t decided yet if this is the year from hell or Heaven however! God knows! Hang in there, Jenny. Key word – together. Blessings 💕💕 G

Just now seeing this, as I took several days off from everything (which was SO very needed and so very refreshing!) You made me chuckle with that question of whether it’s the year from hell or Heaven! Amen and amen about togetherness. We shall overcome! I really do believe that too about double for our trouble! He who promised is Faithful and True! Love you, Georgia ❤ ❤

I ask the Lord this morning to see what is happening as He alone can see the turmoil in our nation and all around the world. We seek for peace and joy to return to our world but this is not what revelation speaks of ! How are we able to keep this in balance as believers ? Our enemy relishes pain and suffering for humanity. Only God can take that which is evil and produce good from it, for those who trust in Him. Can we embrace suffering as Christ did for an ultimate good ? Will we allow our hearts to be broken as was the Father, for the Salvation his only Son’s life brought? Lord, Lord, teach us to do the same. The rage, anger and confusion in this world is not from You but in the hearts of people who serve another god. Are we, your people to speak out or be still, Father ? I elect to speak as the Spirit leads, until then I will be still and know that You are God. Amen Len

Yes, Len, dialoguing with the Father is so incredibly important during these times of turmoil. Being still and knowing He is God, also indispensable! Thank you, Lord, for the very real, supernatural peace You give us in times of trouble!

It’s a phrase we use in Chaplaincy… reminds us being present is often more important than the words we can offer
