A Hope Transfer

May I ask you a question for reflection today? If so, what is the absolute biggest giant you are facing right now? What is the situation that feels the most impossible?

Whatever your answer is, Jesus feels hopeful about that. In fact, He is overflowing with hope about it. He has hope to impart to your spirit right now, that will be an anchor for your soul. He has a hope transfer ready for you. Are you ready for Him to move it from His Spirit into your spirit? Do you already sense Him doing so?

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you” (Eph. 1:17-19, NIV)

See where hope comes from? It comes from knowing Him better. It comes when He enlightens the eyes of your heart with this personal knowledge of Him. The better you know how much He loves you, the more that hope transfer is going to become an ongoing flow into your being. The deeper we know Him, the more His hope will be woven into the fiber of our character. Just as hope is an essential aspect of His nature, it will get thoroughly worked into our own.

Will you pray this with me? Father, enlighten the eyes of my heart. Open my spiritual eyes to accurately perceive how loving and gentle you are. At the core of me, I want to understand how bright my future is in You. I want to experientially know the hope in which you have called me to take up residence!

Do you know someone who overflows with hope on a regular basis? If so, what patterns can you observe about their life that probably contribute to living that way?
