Discovering the Goodness of God

I’m so grateful for all of your prayers! My shoulder has been healing, slowly but surely. It is out of a sling now, but still in process. As a result, I am waiting a little longer before I start typing up posts again. But meanwhile, I put together an audio devo for you all. Be wonderfully blessed as you listen here:

Much love to you all and I’ll see you asap!

(Know someone else that needs to hear this today? You can either share today’s blog link with them, or look up my Feeding on Jesus podcast for sharing and subscribing. You’ll find it at these links on iTunesGoogle PodcastsStitcher, and most other podcast platforms, with episodes identical to these audio devos!)

  1. Amen and Hallelujah. Thank You, Jesus. That is my greatest prayer for myself and my loved ones: that we would come to know Him more and more and that He would allow whatever is necessary, no matter how painful it is, to take us there – into His knowing. Oh how my heart longs to know Him more and more. What a gift your sharing is today, Jennifer. Those Scriptures, the touch of the Holy Spirit through you – may God pour out that same blessing upon you today and more, as you rest and heal.

  2. And I just had to share something- a few weeks ago I was sitting with that verse “we with unveiled faces” and asked God then why if we are unveiled fully, are we still being transformed from glory to glory? He gave me such a beautiful answer: that by faith we are already fully unveiled, complete, healed and whole, knowing in full. But that as we live out of that faith here on earth, we are coming to see its truth more and more through each transformation/unveiling, as He proves Himself in and through us, in our turning toward Him in His drawing of us. And reflecting on that I see the truth of that so much.

  3. Oh my! Guess what dropped into my inbox just now:

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. PROVERBS 4:7

And I had only just shared with a dear friend how God has invited me over and over again to become the fool for Him – and each time I have done so, releasing my reputation and loved ones into His hands, He has opened my eyes to see what I couldn’t before the surrender (bringing that wisdom and understanding in Him).

My verse to pray today is:

Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.
    Mishlei (Pro) 3:5‭-‬6 CJB

And I was just so moved to read that to acknowledge God in this verse is the Word: “yada” – to know someone as a wife knows her husband (becoming one with him in body). Really that can only come in and through His yielding of our hearts to His through each surrrender He leads us, as we release our knowing and understanding for His of us and of others. Every time I wanted to stay and fight in the flesh, He commanded me to leave that His Spirit might be released, as I layed my flesh on the altar to arise afresh in Him.

Beautifully that Word paths also means “highway” and “journey”. It is He who makes the highway traversable – a way no man can walk – for it’s only as we die to ourselves that we can walk that path in His strength, as He levels the mountains before us, breaking open the seeds of faith (His Word) He has planted in us, and as He fills the valleys we step into with His deep abiding Presence.
