Guidance Assured

Direction

“The Lord says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’” (Ps. 32:8, NLT).

Do you need guidance today? Jesus lovingly reassured us that the Father is intimately aware of our needs before we even present them to Him. Direction for our daily decision making is actually one of our most vital spiritual needs. Given that our life’s journey as a whole is the sum total of every huge and tiny choice made along the way, knowing how to make the right ones is crucial. If anyone knows this, it’s our Daddy God.

Long, long before you ever share your quandary with Him about whether to “turn to the right or the left,” He has foreseen your need. He has already made provision for it. Even now, He is poised with your answer (Is. 30:21).

When it comes to revealing to you the best pathway for your life, He will never let you down. Here are three important truths to receive deep in your spirit about His predisposition to counsel you and watch over you:

  • He will always, always guide you with His peace and with His kindness. Even a “no” answer will be accompanied with security and peace. Wherever there is confusion or fear, He is not speaking. When seeking Him for wisdom, first press through any enemy resistance coming against you, into a place of peace in Jesus’ presence. Often, the best way to break through spiritual static is to focus on Him in exuberant praise and worship. The devil can’t stand this and will have to finally flee from you. Then, once you have become completely immersed in Daddy’s peace, your heart will connect naturally with His clarity and action plan. “For God is not a God of confusion but of peace” (1 Cor. 14:33, ESV).
  • If you heart is after Him, He will make sure that you get to where you need to go. Rest in this. “Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose” (Ps. 25:12, NASB).
  • He takes full responsibility for leading you. He considers that the imperative of leading you in paths of righteousness is on Him as your Good Shepherd. It’s His job to tenderly care for His sheep; the pressure is not on us to be smart enough to figure out where the path is. (Sheep are not overly intelligent as animals – He picked this metaphor on purpose to show where the weight of responsibility lies: on Him!) “He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake” (Ps. 23:3, NKJV).

Trust His beautiful heart. He is far more passionate about getting you to your destiny than even you are!

  4. Many times Father will answer, but its not what I want to hear, or the answer I want, and because of this – even after He answers – IT MAKES IT SO HARD TO BELIEVE.

    #1 if we listen to the words of others, WE WILL BE LED ASTRAY. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I DONT CARE WHAT AMAZING MIRACLES YOU HAVE WITNESSED WHILE IN THEIR PRESENCE. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ASSUME THESE GRAND FEATS, AMAZING MIRACLES ARE FROM ALMIGHTY GOD. WE MUST RELY UPON HIS WORDS. If we are in doubt, if we find ourselves being accompanied by someone we are trying to help, and they are constantly around us, we MUST find time to break free, we need ALONE TIME WITH GOD, sooo many times i have been in this situation, and later realized it was a woman who implanted the idea into my mind, the thought, and i didnt notice it… We can be easily led in this manner. To answer your question, simply, if your GUT TELLS YOU THEY ARE A LIAR AND FRAUD, its for a reason. Maybe, youll get it wrong sometimes, but the majority of the time, its for a reason you u feel uneasy, there is a reason you cant seem to fully trust them, one wat I always use is this- when a man or woman comes around.. Professing to love God, holding a bible all day, everywhere we go together, alwata studying it when they are with you, asking to be taught, stating they are always praying, and that God has them doing this and that when ur not around, okay then… Lead us in prayer… Tell them, ask them to,

    Boy, let me tell you.. Get ready… Get the popcorn ready cause its SHOWTIME… so many times DEAD SILENCE, ‘I CANT, IM NERVOUS, OR I THINK IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE PRAYERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PRIVATE, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, YOU KNOW WHY THEY WONT… CAUSE THEY ARENT PRAYING T BEGIN WITH AND DONT KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT BEING HONEST.

    see you can talk all day long about how much u love God, u can fill my ears with all these wonderful stories of how God talks to u, leads u, how your always praying everywhere u go, etc etc, but one thing YOU CANNOT FAKE IS A GENUINE LOVE FOR JESUS CHRIST.

    AND the moment I hear you pray, or another believer does who does have the HOLY SPIRIT DISCERNMENT, they will know IF YOU ARE A FAKE.. THE WORDS, ALL ONE THOUSAND OF THEM ECHO THE WALLS OF YOUR WICKED EMPTY HEART.. THEY MOVE NO ONE, THE PRAYER IS NOT FELT, I DONT CARE IF THEY ARE CRYING, IF IT ISNT FELT, ITS FOR A REASON.

    1. Wow, that’s a very insightful way for the Holy Spirit to provide a window into a person’s heart, inviting them to pray. Thank you for sharing that, Ben! And yes it’s true, Holy Spirit does lead us in letting us know what kind of people to invest our time and relationship in, with His peace, or that gentle check that something is off. I really appreciate you mentioning these dynamics!

      1. I pray it helps someone who finds themselves in this very situation. Make no mistake about it, people, hired agents, are sent into the lives of those with a God given calling, to kill and destroy the prophets, the messengers, the children of God, the light workers, to dampen their lights, to get them twisted, weak, lost, and ineffective. These enemies whether men or women, will be highly seductive in nature and in sexual appeal, they will ask the believer very quickly to marry them, because if we do say yes, it is easier to destroy us due to the marital bond. Remember, all who are reading this- Jezebel is real, it is A SPIRIT that is widespread everywhere, prolific, here is a REALLY GOD LINK- SORRY, JENNIFER, FOR THE tendency to speak about these things, but we need BOTH SIDES. SO MANY BELIEVERS ARE FALLING AND DYING BECAUSE OF WHAT IS NOT BEING TAUGHT AND PREACHED. heres a link, if anyone has questions feel free.

      2. The Word does indeed say the enemy is prowling like a lion seeking for whom to destroy and that we should we aware! Praise God for His gifts of discernment and protection as we lean into Him in complete trust and dependence!
