Keep Praying for Lily!

Things have been so nonstop I haven’t been able to post an update for a while, but here is what has been happening:

On Saturday Lily tested negative for malaria again, so the medication was successful. Also the pneumonia was much better. However, the doctors were concerned that her proteins were dangerously low and she might need intravenous nutrition, which is not available in Iquitos (she was getting fed through a tube into her stomach). They recommended transfer to Lima. She and I were airlifted out that night.

The doctors here in Lima have successfully weaned her off the ventilator, which happened two days ago. Yesterday she woke up from the medically induced coma, but has been very out of it, didn’t even recognize me at first. The doctors say it’s not normal, and are concerned she might have encephalitis or meningitis causing the confusion. She had a spinal tap tonight and is scheduled for an MRI in the morning. Thank you all with all my heart for continuing to pray.

  1. Jennifer,
I am praying hard everyday. Can’t imagine what you are going through. Praying for multiple angels overseeing and surrounding you all every day.
    Turnaround and total restoration immediately.
Only good reports. Progress. Wisdom for doctors and spiritual words of knowledge for solutions.
    Grace and peace. Blessing.

  2. Thank you for the update! Continuing prayers for a full recovery from The One that still performs miracles! And, for peace and strength for y’all! God bless! 💜 P.S. if you haven’t already, read the story behind the song “Raise a Hallelujah” by Bethel Music, it’s really encouraging and a good reminder to lift our voices unto the Lord during these hard times and let Heaven fight our battles!

    1. Hey. For some reason my comment never posted, I’m not real familiar with commenting on social media, so maybe I done it wrong…just wanted to let you know that we’re continuing praying for a full recovery for her from The Miracle working God! And peace and strength for y’all. Idk if you’ve heard the new song “Raise a Hallelujah” by Bethel Music. But, it’s a really inspiring story behind it and a great reminder to lift our voices into the Lord when going through these dark valleys and let Heaven fight for us! God bless! 💜 Candice

  3. Lord, let the doctors be sensitive to Your Spirit, for You know the whole story. Please continue to restore Lily and uphold Jennifer! Thank You that Lily is breathing on her own now, and that Your Spirit is Your breath in her! Thank You that You are Jehova Rapha, God our healer!
