“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” (Matt. 6:34, TLB)
Picture this. You wake up in the morning. A tidy package, wrapped skillfully in brown paper, lies before you as you get out of bed. In impeccable handwriting, your name and today’s date are written artfully on the top. Curious, you begin to pull off the paper and open the box. Lying inside in a neat row are two objects of curious shape and color. Their labels read, “Today’s Challenges,” and “Today’s Grace,” respectively.
Today’s challenges. What are they, for you personally? Someone in the family sick? Bills threatening to swamp you? Interpersonal conflicts? Rejection? You have already picked up the first object in the box. But look again. Look at the second object. “Today’s Grace.” Pick it up too. There’s an opening right in the middle. See it there? Now, carefully insert Today’s Challenges into the opening… it slides right in, a perfect fit! Today’s Grace, delivered right to your bedside from Heaven’s courier, is EXACTLY what you need for Today’s Challenges. Perfect provision. No more, no less: the precise amount.
“As your days, so shall your strength be” (Dt. 33:25b, NKJV). Our beautiful Father is imparting to you exactly the right portion of strength you need, for the day you are facing. Receive it now, beloved child.
Oh, but remember. Don’t worry about tomorrow’s troubles. Lift up your eyes and look into the heavenly realm. Do you see the immense line of packages there waiting to be released from His storehouse? ALL of them have your name on them! Then, if you look even closer, you will notice that the closest box to the dispatch area has tomorrow’s date on it. Yep, you guessed it. Inside is the PERFECT measure of grace for tomorrow’s challenges. And the package after that has the PRECISE supply of strength you will need for the day after tomorrow. Crane your neck and look even farther. The line goes on with an expertly prepared package ready to be dispensed… for every day planned for the entire rest of your life.
He’s thought of everything. He’s worked out every minute detail ahead of time. He’s already made arrangements for every single thing you will need. Rest today in His immaculate care.

Do you have any anecdotes you could share about experiences the Lord has used to teach you to rest in His perfect plan?
Yesterday as i came back to my hotel room ancious about something and then i felt a gust of dissappintment to what at that moment looked like a bad news! I sat and started playing a sad song trying to nurse my sorry and as i dropped the first tear, a dear friend called! If it was someone else I would have ignored! I knew God wanted to strengthen me bse it was an odd time of day for this particular friend to call. What an amazing way of God providing grace for the day. I shared what was troubling my heart and before long we were laughing and i was giving praise to the Lord for knowing my need and acting at the right time! Isn’t He awesome?

Jennifer, we need not be caught off guard, though at times, it appears to happen. The Word clearly tells us, that in the world there will be trouble – But – He has over come the world and with that promise we can proceed. So, how does that work ? Well for me, I have planted scripture that directs me to this mind set – such as “Think upon that which is good, pure, holy, etc “. God has given us the capacity to ” change our minds ” in an instant. Begin singing praise and thanksgiving songs to the Lord. Enter into prayer, in that moment a watch God’s hand move. Shift from the circumstance to believing the results are in the Father’s hand. Amen Len Wisniewski

Great illustration Jennifer for a wonderful truth. A friend only shared with me this morning about how precious are even moments in every day when she KNOWS God’s Grace is like an unexpected (ie package or arrival or phone call etc). Then, She knows God is with her and gives her the Strength to live on in Peace. Thank you for blog post.
