God’s Unstoppable, Fiery Passion

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:38-39, NKJV).

What does it mean that nothing can separate us from the love of God? It means that His love is an actual force. It’s a power. A power that guards us, keeps us, protects us, holds us, wars for us. The raw power of God’s love is immeasurably preeminent over all the hosts of darkness. This power, this love force, is stronger than angels; it’s vastly mightier than all principalities and thrones. The sum total of all the enemies of God come to measure as dust on the scales before the immense weight of His love glory. 

God’s love force will burn away all limits to find you. It’s an unstoppable fiery energy. If necessary, to break through to where you are, it would penetrate past the stars. It would dive deeper than the vast reaches of the universe, to come to you. To break you free. To whisper beauty and belonging to your heart. To hold you close. To be one with you.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever hold God back from loving you. Not your present floundering, not your past stiff-necked rebellion, not your future abject failures. No. They do not… cannot… will not… phase the relentless boiling force of His tenderness towards you. They will never hold a candle to the hurricane-strength ruach* of His passion for your presence.

The love of God is the unbridled, glorious ferocity of His very core. For God is love. It’s who He is. Once you become His child… nothing, nothing in all of creation, will separate you from the immensity of its might.

You have come to belong inside of His love, and He will never let you go. Ever. You are His now, precious one. Now… and forever.

 

*Ruach is the breath, or wind, of the Holy Spirit

  1. Jennifer, totally amazing! At nearly age 70, I believe that recent events in my life have revealed that which you proclain above. thank you sister in Christ.
    HELP! – “We will WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH” – unravel your understanding of SPIRIT AND TRUTH PLEASE. len 9/7 at 829 am.
    Praise God!- Linda is beginning to recover and speak-after over 15 days in hospital and 5- in ICU. Amen.

    1. I’m praising Him with you! Thank You Jesus for Your healing hand over Linda!

      As for that verse from John 4, I believe that “in Spirit” is referring to the empowering of the Holy Spirit. We can only go deep into worship as He enables us to do so. “In truth” both means, in earnest/sincerely/truly with all of our hearts, and, through Holy Spirit’s revelation of God’s truth to our spirits. As He reveals to us the Son, the truth of who He really is, in all of His glory and beauty and comeliness, our hearts will respond in true worship, in spontaneous adoration!

  2. I love this post and what a beautiful reminder. Gods Power is beyond comprehension, because he is the almighty. God works mysteriously and The closer I draw to him the more I understand him and his works. 🙏🏾💕
